Aurore Delaigle has been awarded the 2013 Moran Medal

Dear all,

Aurore Delaigle has been awarded the 2013 Moran Medal of the Australian Academy of Science, for her research in statistics.

Its purpose is to recognise outstanding research by scientists no more than 40 years of age in the calendar year of nomination, except in the case of significant interruptions to a research career, in one or more of the fields of applied probability, biometrics, mathematical genetics, psychometrics and statistics. The award is normally made every two years. There have been 11 winners since 1990 (including Aurore).

This is wonderful news and richly deserved; congratulations to Aurore from all of us.

Regards,

Ian
