# Self-avoiding walks interacting with a surface.

Abstract: In this informal talk I will sketch the recent proof by Nick Beaton, Jan de Gier and me that the critical fugacity of SAWs interacting with a surface on the honeycomb lattice is $$1+\sqrt{2}.$$ The consequences of this proof allow us to develop numerical techniques to estimate the critical fugacity on other lattices to unprecedented precision.
