Abstract: One of the draw cards of random matrix theory in the 1990's was its application to the low energy limit of quantum chromodynamics. Recently, random matrix theories for lattice QCD have become the focus of attention. In this seminar these applications, and the corresponding random matrix theory, will be introduced.
