Abstract: What is the mirror dual of the number of trees?
An answer to this seemingly meaningless question leads to a discovery of a
very simple proof of two famous theorems in algebraic geometry: the Witten
conjecture and the \(\lambda_g\) conjecture. I will explain the key idea of this
story.
