Einstein manifolds as focal sets of hypersurface families in CP^n

Abstract: The CR geometry of focal sets of hypersurface families in CP^n in certain
circumstances force the submanifold to be the total space of a Riemannian
submersion with totally geodesic fibres, to be Einstein and have many
other interesting geometric characteristics. Surprisingly infinitely many
compact inhomogeneous Einstein manifolds arise this way.
