Strong generation in derived categories of schemes.
by Amnon Neeman
Abstract: Following the pioneering work of Bondal and Van den Bergh in 2003, a large and diverse group of mathematicians have worked on strong generation. In this talk we will survey the general theory, but treat only the examples that come up in algebraic geometry, commutative algebra and representation theory.
The new results are that I can prove mixed-characteristic strong generation statements for the derived category of perfect complexes and the bounded derived categories of coherent sheaves.
