Abstract: After briefly reviewing the recent developments around the Razumov-Stroganov
conjectures, I will talk about a diagrammatic representation of the Hecke algebras.
This representation is a generalization of the representation of the Temperley-Lieb algebra
by link patterns. When we construct the representation, a new object, rhombus tiling, plays
important roles through the Yang-Baxter equation and q-symmetrizers.
