Energy Dissipation in Fluid Damped Nanomechanical Devices

Abstract: Nanomechanical sensors are often used to measure environmental
changes with extreme sensitivity. Controlling fluid damping at such small
scales presents unique challenges that must be overcome to achieve optimal
performance. In this talk, I will review recent efforts in this direction
with particular focus on cantilever devices.
