Abstract: In this talk I will present Robert Solovay’s technique of adding a single
Cohen Real to a model of Set Theory using the forcing notion obtained by
considering the set of all subsets of Reals with the Baire property modulo
the meager subsets. I will discuss some of the properties of Cohen Reals and
show that if there exists a real that is Cohen over L, then every 1/2
subset of
the Reals has the Baire property. This result is one direction of a Theorem
proved by Judah and Shelah in 1989.
