Abstract: I will give a survey of the combinatorial formulation of
classical orthogonal polynomials. This involves combinatorial proofs
of various orthogonality properties, combinatorial constructions of
the polynomials and their moments and duality properties associated
with Hankel determinants. If time permits I will also discuss the
connection with Jacobi/Stieltjies continued fractions and the
connection between orthogonal polynomials permutations, Stirling and
Eulerian numbers.
