Dear 231 Students,

 

Additional help : During the time betweeen the end of semester and the exam tutors will be available for help. Check the Learning Centre web site for time and/or the notice board in the deprtment or for a here for a pdf.

Any handouts I give out during lectures will be listed here.

3D Images and Movies

Here is a list of the 3D images and Grapher files (Grapher is a free Apple Mac graphing application - usually found in the Utilities folder) displayed in the lectures.

Lecture notes and additional material.

 A copy of the lecture notes containing the theoretical content of the course is available for purchase. The examples that will be covered during the course are stated but the working is not given - a blank space in the booklet is avaible to fill in the working.

Assignments and Test

When your assignments are due they should be placed in the assignment boxes for 620-231 corresponding to your tutor.

  1. Assignment 1. Due 10.30am Monday 19th March.
  2. Mid-semester test. The 45 minute test takes place at 12pm in Wilson Hall on 20th April. A sample test is available in your problem sheet booklet. The test inculdes all material up to and including double integrals. There is no formula sheet, however, if any vector identity is essential - it will be provided.

  3. Assignment 2: Due 10.30am Monday 14th May (note - this is an extension on the original date).

    Plagiarism cover sheet. This must be signed and handed in with your first assignment. Late assignments are NOT accepted unless accompanied by a medical certificate.
