Lecture Notes

For your convenience we provide here copies of the overhead transparencies, power point files and hand-outs used in the lectures.

Our policy is to make this material available on a weekly basis. That is, the material pertaining to any given week will be placed here at the beginning of that week, or at the end of the week, depending on the lecturer's policy.

Important Note:

The material you'll find here is not 100% complete. That is, it will not contain all the material discussed in class. In particular, it will not contain material provided in class 'on the fly', eg. solution to problems solved in class on-the-fly.

So if you miss a class, make sure that you know what material was covered in class, what hand-outs were distributed, etc. This is your responsibility!

Some of Deb's notes are Adobe Acrobat format (PDF) and you will need a Acrobat Reader or plugin to view them.

Some of Deb's notes are in Power Point form. you will need a Power Point Viewer to read them.

If you plan to print the slides, make sure you specify a proper setup the printer, they do not need to be printed in colour.

Hint: Use the PowerPoint option in the printer options, and select "Pure Black and White" for the color option. Also, to save paper, select the "6 slides per page" layout.
