Ongoing research activities

Uncertainty in the RECCAP regional carbon budget activity of the Global Carbon Project.
Developing carbon data assimilation techniques for ACCESS. (with Y. Wang CSIRO and co-workers). Working on ARCNESS project on automatic differentiation in land surface modelling. Includes studies of techniques for automatic differentiation of computer models. (MORE) (MASCOS Dynamical Systems theme).
Stochastic cellular automata, and other lattice statistics problems. (MORE) including surface effects and Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions.
Statistics of trace gas inversions. (MORE).
