New research results
- Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions
Low-temperature
series expansions on square lattice, exploring
expected Kosterlitz-Thouless transition between ordered
low-temperature phase and intermediate temperature massless phase.
For 6-state planar Potts model - series extended from order 14 (Barber and Enting 1981) to order 41.
For 5-state model with two interaction weights, new series for various ratios
of interactions, exploring phase boundary.
Joint work with Tony Guttmann, initial presentation at Statistical Mechanics meeting, Melbourne, December 2005.
- Surface series
Potts model series for effects of free and fixed boundaries
presented at Counting Complexity conference and accepted for conference volume (IOP series).
New weighting factors for finite lattice series expansions on square lattice with free boundary
conditions, giving more efficiency (paper accepted for JStat).
Application to calculation of new (surface susceptibilities) and extended
(surface magnetisations) series ongoing.
- Geosequestration
CO2 and climate responses to geosequestration calculated and presented at Greenhouse 2005 conference.
New projects
-
Automatic differentiation by operator
overloading in C++.
(MORE) (2005).
