TUTORS ON DUTY: June 1 to June 11, 2004
9:30 am - 11:00 am ; 11:30 am - 1:00 pm ; 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm The tutors on duty will help students with their problems on a first-come-first-served basis. This service is intended for sorting out students' minor problems only. The tutors will not have time to give you a "mini-lecture" or exposition of a topic that you have not read, so before approaching one of the tutors on duty for help, please be clear as to the nature of your problem. For example, you might make a list of points on which you are stuck, or write out in detail your best attempt at a problem that you cannot complete. However, an approach to a tutor which begins "I don't have any idea what this topic is about" is likely to lead to the suggestion that you read your text book and/or lecture notes. Please be well organized before you ask for help! The tutors will be under instructions to spend a maximum of ten minutes with any one student if others are waiting.
