First up was our First Year BBQ. There was a great turnout and the sausages disappeared quickly (as did the bread!) At the end of April, MUMS was involved with the Mathematics Fair as part of National Science Week. A Maths trivia-like contest was organised for approximately 70 secondary school students. Our most recent event was, of-course, the Maths Trivia. 15 teams competed in this fun-filled competition. Questions ranged from Seinfeld to Macbeth. Team names ranged form 'Spermologists' to 'Rationals and Irrationals'. Thanks to all who turned up, especially Professor Tim Brown, who was compere.
