The string can be wrapped around a unit cube so that all colours (with the exception of black) appear exclusively on a single face. The black letters then form letters on the faces that spell the answer SCREAM. (Note: The mirror image string arrangement led to many answer guesses of MANURE, though in this arrangement the R is inverted)
