Have you ever flipped through New Idea looking for mathematical news, gossip, humour or problems? Ever discarded a Sports Illustrated because it had no articles on the Mersenne Primes? Ever been disappointed with a Who magazine because it had no interviews with mathematicians? Stop wasting your time. We have all of that - and more - in Paradox!
Paradox, the magazine of the Melbourne University Mathematics and Statistics Society, is distributed to around a thousand students and academics at the University of Melbourne. Each edition contains material to amuse and delight as well as some more serious approaches to mathematical topics. There's a problems section (cash prizes offered for the best solutions!), a mathematical humour section, some maths news and some recreational mathematics articles. We also review books - both general science titles and more advanced maths and stats works. So if you prefer induction to liposuction, integration to perspiration, or Bertrand Russell to Russell Crowe, then download a copy of Paradox.
