Crocheted Chequered Scarf

Another item in green for Emily (who is mildly obsessed with the colour). This scarf was my first attempt at crocheting multiple colours on the same row. The fabric is quite firm, though with use it becomes more flexible. Using the same wool as the green gloves with squares, it required approximately 300 grams of 8-ply wool to make a scarf about two metres long (or 6-7 feet). Naturally, as it is crocheted it was quite quick to produce, probably not more than 30 hours (of course, this is quite a long time ago, and I was still a beginner at crochet, so this is only a rough estimate).
