A woven placemat (one in a set of four). Warps travel from left-to-right in this picture. Made from 100% mercerised (pre-washed and shiny) cotton, and woven in a checkered pattern partly inspired by my bedspread on which it is lying. The checks are a 2-2 twill or a 2-2 basket weave.
