Research opportunities

I have projects for prospective honours students and PhD students. This would be in any of the areas of gauge theory, moduli space of Riemann surfaces, minimal surfaces, applications of algebraic geometry to integrable systems and various mathematical physics related problems.
I currently supervise three PhD students.
Nick Scott works on the moduli space of Riemann surface and enumerative combinatorics. His research involves complex analysis, matrix models---particularly the work of Eynard and Orantin, and ideas from mathematical physics.
Yi Huang works on Teichmuller theory and the moduli space of hyperbolic surfaces.
Callum Sleigh works on Chern Simons theory and enumerative geometry. His research is motivated by ideas from mathematical physics and involves matrix models, Gromov-Witten invariants and mirror symmetry.
