The lectures are based
on Kris Wysocki's lecture notes which will be available on the webpage. Abstract arguments and
proofs are an integral part of the course and students are advised to
work through the problem sheets and ask questions during the tutorial
classes and office hours.
Some of the needed preliminaries are in the Appendix of Wysocki's
notes and copies of this Appendix will be distributed at the beginning of the semester. There is a PDF version of the notes for this
