Abstract preparation

All abstracts are to be submitted electronically via the conference website. After registration you will receive your access key and link to the online abstract submission page. If you have any problems with the submission process please contact OzAccom Conference Services for assistance.

You can register online with payment by credit card or download the PDF registration form and return via fax, email or post for payment by credit card, cheque or electronic transfer. Note if payment by electronic transfer you will receive a tax invoice with the bank account details after we have processed your registration. Within 48 hours of receiving your registration you will receive an acknowledgement email with your access key and link to the abstract submission page.

Abstract preparation

Abstracts are to be produced in PDF from the LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates provided below

Abstract formats

LaTeX template (statphys24.tar or individual files: statphys24.tex, sfmath.sty, abstract.tex)
1. Save the three template files in the same directory
2. Modify abstract.tex as desired, carefully following the instructions below
3. Run pdflatex on statphys24.tex
4. The output should look like this
5. Rename the PDF output using the topic number reference underscore your surname underscore and initial all in lowercase e.g. topic1_smith_s.pdf
Microsoft Word template (statphys24.doc)
1. Modify statphys24.doc as desired, carefully following the instructions below.
2. Convert to Adobe PDF
3. The output should look like this
4. Rename the PDF output using the topic number reference underscore your surname underscore and initial all in lowercase e.g. topic1_smith_s.pdf

Abstract instructions

The title should appear in bold case at the top of the abstract
All abstracts must be prepared in Arial 10 point type only
Single spacing should be used
Maximum length is 250 words
Author(s) first name is to appear before the surname for each author
Please list the name of the presenting author first
Omit degrees and titles (Dr, Prof etc)
Author affiliations should include Name of institution, City, State and Country of origin: do not include street address. Website and email may be included at the end of each address
Use superscripts to identify different organisations
Abbreviations must be spelt out in full at the first mention followed by the abbreviation in parentheses
Do not use subtitles or sections e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions
Leave one line between paragraphs
Do not use references

Abstract submissions that do not comply with these requirements will not be accepted. Please refer to the example abstract formats.

Conditions of Participation

Only one presentation per presenting author will be accepted and exceptions to this will only be made in special circumstances.

All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website, providing registration fees have been paid. All presenting authors must be registered for the conference and must present original work.
